Medical Assistant-Reg/Cert

Dates: Immediate Need
Pay Range: $12.00 per hour
Position Duties May Include:
-Accurately schedule appointments
-Blood Draw through venipuncture
-Room patients and prepare charts
-Ability to take detailed patient histories
-Take and record vital signs
-Perform injections
-EKGs
-Assist physician with minor surgeries
-Answer phones and assist patients at front desk
-General clerical duties: filing, copying, scanning etc.
-Billing, payments and coding
Preference given to candidates who possess the following skills:
-Pediatrics through geriatrics experience
-Excellent customer service consistently demonstrated
-Centricity and EMR experience
Requirements:
-Certification/Registration
-Minimum 2+ year working experience within the medical/healthcare field with experience communicating with all levels of staff, prefer MA experience

HIM Payment Coordinator

Position Duties May Include:
- Ability to analyze accounts to see if a balance is a contractual adjustment vs. Patient responsibility etc.
- Contract knowledge for contractual adjustments or adjustments after insurance payments
- Keeps abreast of coding guidelines and reimbursement reporting requirements
- Answers coding questions in a timely manner, writes articles for the department newsletter, and helps cover the coding hotline

Requirements:
-Minimum of three (3) years progressive coding experience in both inpatient and outpatient required
-Past auditing experience or strong training background in coding and reimbursement required

-Must meet the requirements for APC/DRG coordinator
-Coding certification from the American Health Information Management Association required. CCS and RHIT must be completed or must be enrolled in an accredited program at time of hire (CCS and RHIT must be completed in an agreed time frame approved by management)

Position Summary:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for investigating and settling moderate-to-difficult claims for assigned lines of business promptly and equitably under minimal supervision. Reviews coverage? S, determines liability and compensability, secures information, and arranges property damage appraisals and settling claims using the claims best practices. Set reserve and recommend reserve changes to supervisor and Company Attorneys in preparing cases for litigation.
Position Duties May Include:
- Receive claim assignment, confirms policy coverage and directs acknowledgement of claims
- Interprets and make decisions using independent judgment on more complex and unusual policy coverage? S and determines if coverage? S apply to claims submitted
- Investigate claims to determine validity and verify extent of damage by telephone contact with clients, claimants, witnesses or other parties as required
- Analyze claims activity and prepares reports for clients/carriers and management
- Establish reserves, using independent judgment and expertise and authorizes payments within scope of authority, settling claims in the most cost effective manner and ensuring timely issuance of disbursements
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
- 5 to 8 years of claims experience
- Workers Compensation (WC) Adjuster License required according to jurisdictional requirements, Navada (WC) license required
- Worker's Comp? Technical claims investigations/settling experience
- Demonstrated ability to gather and analyze information, determine a course of action and implement the selected course of activity
- Effective interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external clients

Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a Coder with surgical coding experience.
Position Duties May Include:
- Interpreting the notes and diagnoses set forth in the medical record and select the appropriate ICD-9 codes to ensure both appropriate reimbursements
- Insurance follow-up and IDX
- Codes all aspects (CPT, ICD-9, HCPCS, modifiers etc.)
- Assigns the appropriate ICD-9 code for services that have been rendered and have not been coded
- Display attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing charts, and in analyzing medical data
- Compose correspondence
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Certified coder (either a CPC or CCS) with 3-5 years Surgical Coding experience for a multi- specialty
- Experience in review/audit of medical records
- Knowledge and experience in health care environment/managed care
- Proficient in Microsoft Office XP Products (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) required
- Professional demeanor, appearance and strong work ethic

Location: Hollywood, Florida
Hours: Flexible rotating schedule with hours between 8am and 8pm, 7 days a week including holidays

Position Duties May Include:
-Deliver accurate information on Medicare lines of business to prospective members in a clear and concise manner
-Meet and exceed department performance standards and answer rates by utilizing telemarketing skills and product knowledge
-Overcome objections and utilize rebuttals when developing new business

-Insurance follow-up and IDX

-Compose correspondence

-Assigns correct APCs with coding accuracy rate of 95% or greater.
-Performs abstracting of coding and clinical data (I.E. Discharge disposition, discharge date, patient type, etc.) with an accuracy rate of 95% or greater.
-Refers queries to physicians and questions to supervisors as appropriate, complying with all internal audit requirements, (i.E. Review charts for Complication/Cormorbidity compliance).
Requirements:
-RHIA Or RHIT Or CCS or eligible to test for one of these and become certified w/n 12 months of employmentRHIA Or RHIT Or CCS or eligible for testing.
-Associates degree in Health Information Management or completion of Coding Specialist Prog
-2 years of inpatient coding ICD9-CM and CPT-4 is required

Responsibilities:
-Adhere to Compliance policy, performing only client specific tasks and not tasks/work on behalf of clinic.
-Process collected specimens.
-Proactively prepare requisition forms prior to patients' visit.
-Utilize a web based online requisition system to correctly complete the requisition form by:
-Take inventory of specimen supplies and order when necessary.
-Maintain a high level of accuracy in completing requisition forms.
-Research and provide corrected Missing/Invalid Information data upon request by:
-Contact appropriate resource to address any collection issue such as low sample volume, attempts to tamper with specimen or any other collection issue.
